The therapy of laughter is a very serious business

Laughter is the ideal way to deal with the consequences of stress after, when we laugh, the body relaxes and the blood overwhelm the beneficial and pain-killing endorphins.
The therapy of laughter is intended to make the person laugh in individual or group sessions artificial laughter! The fact that the goal is not achieved, of course, does not make the benefits any less significant.
Surveys in the past have shown the importance of laughter to good health. Professor Lee Berk from the University of California studied the effect of laughter in 10 healthy adults.

5 of them attended a comedy one hour long. The blood tests showed that cortisol (the hormone secreted when we are in a state of stress) was significantly reduced in this group compared with the other 5 participants in the survey who did not attend the fun show. The same researchers showed that laughter increased the agency of those cells which have the ability to attack viruses and cancer cells. It should be noted that these cells is reduced when the body is experiencing chronic stress.

Researchers from the university of Michigan have also calculated that 20 seconds of laughter is as beneficial for the lungs as much as 3 minutes of rowing on a similar machine.
The first to study the therapeutic action of laughter was professor Madan Κατάρια that in addition developed the yoga of laughter. Since 1995 he created the first club of laughter yoga, the number shot up to 5.000 worldwide.
