The reason you should not use swabs to clean ears

After the bathroom, most people tend to clean the inner ear from the wax (or cell) that is naturally produced by our body for lubricating and protecting them from pollutants and germs, using them known. However, the use of a swab can be harmful to our ears, according to experts. CORVERSE General doctor Dr. Amir Khan, who often appeared on ITV shows, such as Lorraine and Good Morning Britain, posted a video on his personal profile on Instagram, explaining the negative effects of the batonette. Dr. Khan advises his patients not to clean their ears with batons, since this is how you push the candle towards the drum side. Which leads to the wax being pushed deeper and trapped inside the ear. At the same time, the doctor points out the risk of injuring our auditory resource, as we press the batonette to remove the candle, causing a rupture of the drum (perforation). He, however, failed to mention that in the past he has removed several pieces of broken swabs from his patients’ ears. “Buttonettes are not for your ears and have a negative impact on the environment” he points out in his suspension caption and adds that “although you feel a sense of satisfaction, however, you may cause more harm than good”. Naturally, social media users were divided with Dr Khan’s advice, since some agree with him, while others express their opposition, saying they are not going to stop this particular habit.
