They aim to relax from the routine of everyday life and empty our minds from our professional obligations, however, it can also make us nervous. The first thing we do, usually, before we go on vacation is to prepare a list of our clothes and accessories we need for the beach, trying not to forget something necessary behind us. So instead of having our minds at sea and on the sand, there are not few times when we are surrounded by thoughts about whether our home is perfect. I wonder if I turned off the water heater. Is the oven still on? And given that we will be gone for a long time, the concern is more pronounced as to whether we have forgotten behind us a device open. However, there is a practical solution to mitigate our anxiety. Sunil Metcalfe, a travel editor from the tourist agency Black Tomato suggests a simple idea, which is none other than to take a photo of all your devices, especially the kitchen. “As you promote emails to your colleague or leave your pet to someone you trust, photos with your door locked or the disconnected device will allow you to feel relieved,” adds Metcalfe. “All of us have experienced the setting we are on our way to the airport and we think we have made a mistake in preparing the trip. However, photography prevents any disruption,” Metcalfe points out. He and his wife travel frequently and have even reached the point of installing smart Wi-Fi sockets for remote control. “However, photography is a much more economical choice and leaves no room for mistakes,” he notes. Of course, this practice does not eliminate the risk of causing accidents. Even if a fire breaks out or a break-in occurs, while you will be away on vacation, you will know in advance that it is not because of your own oversight.
The reason you need to take a picture of your kitchen before you go on vacation.
