Australian director Justin Kurzel (The Narrow Road to the Deep North) starring Jacob Elordi (Jacob Elordi), will premiere worldwide at the Berlin Film Festival. It is based on Richard Flanagan’s novel of the same name (Richard Flanagan) released in 2013 and recognized with the Booker Award a year later. The series is described as a “destabilizing drama” unfolding like a dark revenge story, in which “a war veteran, Dorrigo Evans marked by the ghosts of the past, seeks the healing of his wounds.” MISCELLANEOUS Simon Baker (Simon Baker), Odessa Young (Odessa Young), Sairan Hydes (Ciarán Hinds) and Olivia Dehonge (Olivia DeJonge). The script is signed by Sean Grant (Shaun Grant) in production of Sony Pictures Television. “It is great for Sean and I to work with a talented actor like Jacob,” said the director in a statement, according to IndieWire. “I feel that this young actor and the excellent book met at the right time,” he stressed. The 75th Berlin Film Festival will take place from 13 to 23 February. American film critic and curator Tricia Tuttle, first takes the reins of the festival’s artistic direction with the award-winning director Todd Haynes (Todd Haynes) to be in the position of chairman of the Jury Committee.
