The Mitsotaki meeting with Erdogan in Ankara in May – “Fever” preparations

The meeting of the Greek Prime Minister and Turkish President in Ankara in May was closed. In fact, as SKAI broadcast Tuesday morning (12.03. 24), preparation for the agenda for the Mitsotakis – Erdogan meeting has already begun. According to SKAI, during the regular Political Dialogue meeting in Ankara held yesterday, Monday, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Hellenic Republic, Ambassador Alexandra Papadopoulou and the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Ambassador Burak Akçapar discussed, among other things, Mr Mitsotakis’ forthcoming visit to Turkey in May, making an account of the progress achieved so far. At the heart of the discussion was also the Navtex issue, with the Greek side expressing its dissatisfaction mainly with their content. Both sides agreed that it would be best to avoid declarations of officials that could cause a problem in the good climate of the two countries.
