Her building was illuminated on Saturday night (14.09.2024) with the symbol of the battle against him in children and teenagers. Participation in the events taking place in the context of the “World Month of Awareness for Cancer in Childhood and Teenage”, the House of Greeks Palace was illuminated with the “golden ribbon” (Golden ribbon), a symbol of the battle against cancer in children and adolescents. According to the World Health Organization, it is estimated that 400,000 children and adolescents aged 0-19 are diagnosed with some form of cancer annually. In Greece there are 350 children every year, which corresponds to about one child a day. September is a global campaign to awaken, inform and raise awareness for a valid diagnosis and treatment of cancer during childhood and teenage years. The initiative to promote the social message belongs to the urban non-profit company “Carkinaki – Information on Cancer in Childhood and Childhood” in collaboration with the initiative “WinCancer”.
