The Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, in his capacity as head of the armed forces, declared a curfew in major cities starting from today (Friday), after the unprecedented demonstrations to demand his resignation.
“Because lawlessness prevailed in certain provinces, and there were riots, looting , destruction, assault and burning public and private property, including attacks on banks and hotels, President Hosni Mubarak declared a curfew as head of the armed forces, “said state television announcer.
