The Governor inaugurated the hall πολυαισθητηριακού environment in the annex of Disabled people of Lasithi in the Ag. Nikolaos

The hall of the πολυαισθητηριακού environment (MSE/Snozelen) in the… Annex for the Disabled Lassithi Agios Nikolaos inaugurated today the regional Governor of Crete Stavros Arnaoutakis. It is a unique in Greece, which was created with funds resulting from the NSRF secured by the Region of Crete, and will help those who have a need for the development of all the senses in a mild form, and in particular for therapeutic, educational, and creative purposes.
In today’s opening of the unit along with the regional Governor of Crete Stavros Arnaoutakis was attended by representatives of the Church, the vice governor of Lasithi Pelagia Petraki, the vice governor of Crete, Manolis Κλώντζας, the mayor of Ag. Nicholas Antonis Zervos, Regional, Municipal Counsellors, representatives of social agencies and services.
“The Region of Crete has proven over the years that stands next to and supports the social structures such as the ΚΚΠΠΚ (Social Welfare Centre of the Region of Crete). I congratulate the management, employees, because actually they offer important work to the children who need our care. We will continue to support such efforts that improve the lives of vulnerable groups,” said the regional Governor of Crete Stavros Arnaoutakis, while emphasising that, “and the new Programming Period, the Region will be located next, to the vulnerable social groups that do not need most of the times to publicize them. Throughout the island of Crete has become a huge task in the social field and, in fact, recently the Region of Crete excelled and was awarded nationwide”.
The warm thanks of the district expressed by the President of the board of directors Centre for Social Welfare Region of Crete Eleni Τσαντηράκη which at the same time referred to the significance of the project:
“This is a very important day, for the whole society of Lasithi, we are launching the multi sensory space, a space that will help those who have a need for the development of all the senses in a mild form. This means that, whoever is in this space can be stand-alone, be used the space for therapy, education, and creation,” said mrs. Τσαντηράκη and added: “In all sites is unique in Greece, it is an important project funded by the NSRF through the Region of Crete, standing by to oversee the effort across all of the structures of the Centre for Social Welfare in all of Crete. A big thank you to the regional Governor of Crete Stavros Arnaoutakis and the services involved that contributed to the completion of the”. From the side of the Αντιπεριφερειάχης Lasithi Pelagia Petraki said: “Today we are inaugurating this unique space, a multi sensory environment in the Centre of Social Welfare Region of Crete-branch of the DISABLED Lasithi. The budget of the important social project amounted to 120 mm. about euro, funding was secured from the regional Governor of Crete Stavros Arnaoutakis from the European funds under the NSRF”.
