The factory of Pepsico IVI Loutraki put rolls in January 2013 due to the significant economic problems faced by the american multinational in the Greek market, laying off the last employees.
Since then, the factory got out the hammer and many prospective buyers – among them big names of the Greek business – who would be the final owners of the property.
The first “buyer” was the cyprus Group Hellenic Water, who had expressed an interest last March, while information reported that they had been signed and the relevant pre-contract.
However, unknown is still the why not proceeded with negotiations (or if they still even exist), as well as all parties involved keep says nothing.
Then was heard the name of the company, EZA, which wants to expand its production by 2015 produces non-alcoholic beverages based on malt, while another name that fell to the table was that of Green Cola.
Finally, as with all shows, even these discussions have been unsuccessful, and now another prospective buyer seems to have found.
In the final stage of the discussions, reportedly is the group Viohalco for the acquisition of the central unit of PepsiCo-IVI in Inofyta, Viotia, which closed the production of on 30 October 2016.
The interest of the largest metallurgical group in the country for the factory facilities of the PepsiCo-IVI regard to the subsidiary ELVAL which features in the wider area of the factory and could take advantage of the property of the american subsidiary for expansion of its operations.
The discussions between the two sides as it sounds like it is shortly before the final agreement is expected to be completed the next time.
The property has a total surface 13.428 sq.m. and has a bottling plant, warehouses and office buildings on a plot with a total surface of 33.980 sqm.
The factory in Loutraki εμφιάλωνε natural mineral water IVI-Loutraki, and is considered one of the most modern bottling facilities in Greece.
It has three production lines of natural mineral water.
