The Court of First Instance of Amsterdam upheld the brewery ‘Vergina’

As a co-responsible for the anti-competitive practices applied by his subsidiary in Greece, she “showed” the Heineken group its justice . By decision of the Amsterdam Court of First Instance on the case which had been tried on 3 September 2023, it held that the beer group in question (Heineken, the Netherlands) was “in solidarity with the whole responsible” for the abuse of the dominant position by the Athenian Brewery, an infringement for which it had already been punished in Greece by a fine from the Competition Commission. On 4 December of this year, the Amsterdam Court of First Instance is expected to announce its decision on the exact amount of compensation Heineken will be asked to pay to ‘Vergina’.
