The Management Board of the MET has issued a notice:
“With grief and sorrow we have been informed of the death of the trainer of the programme, AGO, George Ραουνά who passed away, after a struggle of three years against the cancer.
The Board of directors of the Cyprus Sport Organization has decided the following: – To bear the costs of the funeral. – The President of the MET, mr Pambos Stylianou, on behalf of the Agency, to attend the funeral of the late George Ραουνά and to deposit a wreath. – The day of the funeral, the flags at the offices and in the sports facilities of the SEA to be flown at half mast. – The Agency will look at other ways to honor the memory of George Ραουνά and to support his family.
The loss of George Ραουνά, causing grief and leaves poorer the sporting world of Cyprus, of which he was a worthy child with a significant offer.
