The Albanian Parliament approved by 128 votes to 2, lifting the parliamentary immunity of former deputy of the Albanian government, Ilir Meta, who faces charges of corruption.
The request for the lifting of immunity of Ilir Meta had been filed by the prosecution, which sought authority to to initiate investigations against him.
