Perfumes can create an atmosphere of peace in your home, offering relaxation and relief from stress. However, with a careless movement the candle can accidentally fall on your clothes. CORVERSE However, you do not need to worry, as there are some useful tips you can adopt to remove your stain and clothing and look like new. Let the candle cool First let the wax cool and stabilise. Do not try to remove it while it is still warm or soft, as it can spread more into the fabric and penetrate the fibers of the garment. Use a spoon After the wax cools and becomes hard, use a spoon, spatula or other plastic object (e.g. ruler) to scratch and remove most of the wax. CORVERSE Avoid using a sharp object to prevent damage to the fabric. If the wax is still soft, you can place on the stain a bag of some ice cubes to cool faster. Iron the stain The most effective method to remove the wax is to iron the stain. Place a sheet of kitchen paper under the stained area and one above the point in question. Adjust iron to low temperature, avoiding steam operation. The heat from the iron will melt the wax, which will be absorbed from the paper. Replace the paper as many times as necessary, until most of the wax is removed. Instead of iron, you can use a hair dryer. If there are still wax residues on the garment, add a minimum amount of liquid detergent and hot water to the stain. Let it work for a few minutes. Then use a soft brush to rub the stained area with gentle movements. Then rinse well with plenty of water. After this process, place the garment in the laundry bin, following the instructions on the textile label. As you will see for yourself, the stain from the candle will completely disappear.
