A significant new investment is being advanced in Bulgaria by the Terna Energy Group. This investment involves the design, supply, and construction of a nominal capacity of 130 MW in the Bratisa region of Burgas, Bulgaria. As part of the strategic collaboration between Terna Energy (under the ownership of Masdar) and GEK Terna, the implementation of the project has been undertaken by Terna, the construction arm of the GEK Terna Group. The project includes the installation of the photovoltaic power plant, as well as all connection works, including the construction of a new 33/110 kV substation. According to the projected timeline, the photovoltaic park will be connected to Bulgaria’s electrical grid by late 2026. Through this investment, Terna Energy strengthens its presence in Bulgaria, where it already operates two wind parks with a total installed capacity of 30 MW.
