Mikey Brennan said he was surprised to survive after he was “suppressed” by a massive wave in . The incident occurred in the Shipstern Bluff area in Tasmania that has been described as dangerous to surfers and is only accessible by jet ski or two-hour hiking. The video shows the 38-year-old surfer being carried by jet ski near the waves before “disappearing him” one of them. “I am surprised to be alive,” he said. Surfer escaped only with bruises on the ribs and a slight concussion stating gratitude for the security protocols applied to his case. “I remember the wave coming up and hitting me very hard. I fell with strength, I couldn’t control what’s going on,” described the 38-year-old. According to Guardian, this was not the first time Brennan flirted with death, as in 2010 he had suffered a back fracture when surfing another dangerous spot in Tasmania. “This time, however, I came closer to death because in the 2010 incident I was always conscious,” Mike Brennan said.
