The couple alleges she then entered the home and immediately attacked her with the knife, inflicting minor injuries. At that moment, the 41-year-old man allegedly intervened, using a kitchen knife to stab the rescuer in the back.

Testimonies from people close to the EKAB employee have so far yielded no evidence of financial dealings or disputes with the couple—a theory initially floated by some sources.
