In what is being called a ‘record resignation,’ SYRIZA President Socrates Famellos highlights that the resignation of Aristos Doxiadis underscores how Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ reform efforts cannot save him from ultimate failure. Famellos stated, “This confirms that Mitsotakis’ reshuffle won’t protect him from decay and eventual downfall.” He emphasized, “It’s not just the deputy minister but Mitsotakis himself who attacks society with his choices.” SYRIZA-PS had called for Doxiadis’ resignation from the start, insisting it was necessary to safeguard public interest.
