The final percentage received by the new party president, Socrates Famelos was elected to the leadership of Syriza with 49.36% with Paul Polakis taking 43.57%, Nicolas Farantouris gathering 5.08% and Apostolos Glezzo 1.99%, according to the final results. It is noted that in the SYRIZA election 70,152 voters voted, valid ballots were 69,500 and invalid 652, while the difference in votes by Socrates Famellus and Paul Polakis was 4,024.
