The stagnation in SYRIZA’s polling numbers has started to significantly concern the leadership of Koumoundourou. They believe that if the party remains at these percentages for too long, it will be difficult to recover. Almost all published polls show the party moving between 6% and 8%. This concern grows as there is currently calm within the party, with everyone seemingly focused on how to communicate SYRIZA’s positions and views. Recently, SYRIZA members have been submitting daily proposals addressing citizens’ everyday issues beyond their involvement in Tempi. According to Opinion Poll findings, 37.3% view positively a potential collaboration between PASOK, SYRIZA, and New Left, while 59.4% oppose it. Among SYRIZA voters, 70.6% are positive, compared to 47.8% of PASOK voters. However, only 30.5% think such cooperation is realistic. Meanwhile, 26.4% view favorably the possibility of Alexis Tsipras returning to a leading role, with 68.4% opposing it. Among SYRIZA voters, 62.4% support this idea, while 32.1% do not. With the party congress approaching in about a month, Koumoundourou’s team hopes for a rejuvenation atmosphere before June 12 and aims to gain more supporters for their progressive coalition message. This Saturday, the Central Committee will meet to discuss delegate election matters. Yesterday, SYRIZA called for the resignation of Michalis Chrysochoidis following violent incidents involving student attacks. Socrates Famellos emphasized SYRIZA’s economic development proposals during the 6th International Conference of the Economic Chamber of Greece, criticizing monopolistic practices and advocating for measures against unjust bank profits.
