Many years after Kobani was abandoned in the north, US forces allegedly return and build a new military base, at the border with . In Kobani and generally in northern Syria there are fierce battles between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in which the Kurds dominate and are supported by the US, and forces supported by Turkey, especially after Bashar al Assad was overthrown by power. CORVERSE Several videos and images published on social media, show American troops and equipment heading towards Kobani, reportedly, for the construction of a new base of the US-led international coalition fighting against the Islamic State (ISISIS) in the region. The US has about 2,000 soldiers in Syria.
