Air raid sirens sounded yesterday, Tuesday (03.06.2025), in the Golan Heights area, which is under Israeli occupation, where two missiles fired from Syria landed in an uninhabited area without causing injuries or damage, according to information from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Israeli media noted that this was the first time since the fall of the Assad regime that missiles were fired from Syria against Israel. Following the sirens heard in Hispin and Ramat Magshimim at 9:36 p.m., two missiles launched from Syria towards Israeli territory were detected and fell in an uninhabited area, as per the IDF statement. These settlements are located in the southern part of the Golan Heights, a region captured by Israel in 1967 and annexed in 1981. The Israeli artillery responded to the shots, while Defense Minister Yoav Kats quickly emphasized that he holds Syrian President Ahmed Al Sara directly responsible for any threat or attack from Syria against Israel, warning of retaliation. ‘We will not allow a return to the reality of October 7, 2023,’ he stressed, referring to the unprecedented attack by the Palestinian Hamas group against Israel.
