A worker was seriously injured during an attack on a high school in southern Sweden and a 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of “attempted murder”, local authorities said.
Eyewitnesses told that the perpetrator, who was wearing something resembling a bulletproof vest, helmet, and a skull mask at the time of the attack, was holding a knife.
The incident took place in a school building in Eslov, 40 km from Malm. Police have not confirmed this information.
Authorities are not yet able to confirm whether the perpetrator is a schoolboy and have no information about the motive for the act.
The victim is a 45-year-old worker. He was taken to hospital and operated on. Attacks on schools are relatively rare in Sweden.
