Law enforcement officials have identified a vehicle that closely resembles the one used by suspects following the robbery at an ELTA branch in Daphne. On Friday evening, May 30, 2025, police located a black Peugeot 2008 in Akra without license plates, which was reported stolen from the Athens area. The car is currently being transported to forensic laboratories in Athens for thorough examination to determine if it matches the vehicle used during the robbery in Kalavryta. If confirmed, significant evidence could lead to identifying the perpetrators. During the robbery, armed with weapons including an AK-47, the criminals immobilized an employee and stole €1,000 from the cash register. Investigations suggest they had planned the heist meticulously, knowing money for pensions was due to be delivered. However, the €40,000 pension funds were not found as the employee had hidden them before placing them in the register.
