Superfund: The competition to restore the OAKA environment begins

The tender procedure for the restoration and upgrading of the space environment and the enclosure of the Athens Olympic Sports Centre (), a total budget of 11.5m euros (excluding VAT), announced the Strategic Meaning Contracts Unit (PPF) of /Growthfund. The superfund, as a running authority, has undertaken the auction of the project, which is another important step in upgrading and optimally exploiting the country’s most iconic sports centre. The aim of the project is to prepare the final study, the implementation study and the execution of work on targeted structural restorations in the relevant buildings and to restore and upgrade the environment of the OAKA complex. CORVERSE The interventions included are as follows: Tank waterproofing around the Central Olympic Stadium. Coping with cracks on the Cycling site. Restoration of surfaces and plantings in the Environment Area. Redevelopment of the Market and restoration of Pavilions. Electromechanical Work. Design and implementation of a new inland road network in the area between the bike and the swimming facilities. Work on the design- construction of climbing and residential walls in the surrounding area. Supply and placement of new fencing and dismantling of existing supply and placement of prisons. The project is expected to have been completed within 14 months of the date of signature of the contract with the contractor, while the resources for its implementation come from the National Recovery and Durability Plan ‘Greece 2.0’ with the financing of the European Union-NextGenerationEU. The final date for submission of tenders is Tuesday 25 February. The project is part of the initiatives for the radical modernisation of OAKA, a total budget of 111m euros (excluding VAT), which have been undertaken to carry out the PPF of the Trans-Team/Growthfund in cooperation with the TTE and the Ministry of Sports.
