An attempted suicide occurred on Wednesday evening (April 30, 2025) at the Akropolis metro station. Nine firefighters rushed to the scene with three vehicles to rescue the individual. According to an announcement by STASY, both the Akropolis and Sygrou-Fix metro stations were closed as a result. Metro Line 2 is currently operating in segments: Elliniko – Neos Kosmos and Syntagma – Anthoupoli.
