Student Transfers: Application Platform Closes Today for Universities

The deadline for submitting electronic applications for student transfers or relocations to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Higher Ecclesiastical Academies (HEAs) ends today, Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Interested students must visit the official platform at https://transfer.it.minedu.gov.gr to submit their applications online. This deadline applies to students with undergraduate siblings, those belonging to special categories (including financial and social criteria, special needs, serious medical conditions), and exceptional transfer cases supported by documented, extraordinary reasons. Applicants must log in using their institutional username and password provided by their school’s administration office. A valid Tax Registry Number (AFM) is mandatory when a family status certificate is required, enabling automatic verification by HEI authorities. Cypriot-origin students and those admitted through September 2025 repeat exams may apply at later dates, as announced by the Ministry of Education after their registration process concludes. Results will be published after the application period ends. Eligible applicants include those transferring based on merit-based criteria, undergraduate siblings, students admitted under disability provisions (5% over quota without exams for 2025–2026), members of the Muslim minority of Western Thrace, children of terrorism victims, and children of military or security personnel killed in service.
