Heavy rains are expected today (April 27, 2025) in Thessaly, the Sporades, Evia, and eastern Sterea from the morning hours, with unstable weather also forecasted for Macedonia starting in the afternoon. These conditions will be accompanied by occasional hail showers. According to the National Meteorological Service’s weather forecast, there will be rain and sporadic thunderstorms initially in Thessaly, the Sporades, Evia, eastern Sterea, eastern Macedonia, Thrace, and temporarily in central and northern Aegean areas, gradually extending to the remaining mainland regions and Crete. The phenomena may be strong in places until the evening and are not expected to be accompanied by temporary hail showers. Gradual improvement is anticipated in most areas during the late evening. Visibility in the west will be locally restricted in the morning. Winds will blow from northern directions at 3 to 5 Beaufort, with gradual strengthening over the Aegean Sea to 6 to 7 Beaufort and from the afternoon in the northern areas locally reaching 8 Beaufort. Temperatures will slightly rise in the west, reaching 22 to 24 degrees Celsius, while in the remaining parts of the country, they will reach 19 to 21 degrees Celsius.
