Strong Winds and Showers Forecasted Across Greece

The conditions will feel more like autumn than spring, with clouds and thunderstorms expected in several areas. According to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY), the weather will be relatively cloudy throughout most of the country. Winds from northern directions will blow at up to 8 Beaufort, and locally in the Aegean and eastern mainland, gusts may reach up to 9 Beaufort by midday. Intermittent cloud formations are anticipated in central Greece, Evia, and the Peloponnese, while local showers are expected in Crete, the Cyclades, and the Dodecanese islands. Specific forecasts for Attica include cloudy skies with local showers, winds from northern directions at 5-7 Beaufort, and temperatures between 12-17°C. Northern and eastern areas could see a 2-3°C drop. Thessaloniki is expected to remain generally clear with variable winds at 3-4 Beaufort and temperatures ranging from 9-20°C. Macedonia and Thrace will also stay mostly clear with northeast winds at 3-5 Beaufort, increasing to 6-7 Beaufort in the east. Temperatures will range from 10-21°C, with cooler conditions in western Macedonia.
