Storms with Lightning and Hail: Three-Day Bad Weather Approaching Greece

in

The weather forecast for the upcoming days remains unstable, as all signs indicate that the rain will continue over the next few days. Meteorologist Klearchos Marousakis posted an update on the upcoming weather conditions, warning of dangerous storms in the coming hours. A cold air mass from the upper and middle troposphere in the northern northwest Balkans is expected to trigger instability in our country starting immediately. This will result in strong local storms accompanied by increased lightning frequency, heavy rainfall, and even hail. The core of this intense instability will affect several inland areas of the country, while Friday through Saturday will see the instability shift eastward and toward southern coastal regions. By Sunday, we expect a reduction and weakening of these phenomena. Starting next week, Greece will transition into very summer-like weather conditions with significant temperature increases.
