Storm in Greece: Highest Rainfall Recorded in Andritsaina – New Civil Protection Alerts

Heavy rainfall hit Greece, with the highest recorded precipitation of 114 mm measured in Andritsaina, Elis, as of 6:40 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2026. The Hellenic Fire Service received dozens of emergency calls across the Peloponnese — 40 from Messenia (including Kyparissia) and Laconia, mainly for water pumping and fallen trees, and 30 from Elis alone.
