The Greek tennis star experienced another setback in the global rankings, with Stefanos Tsitsipas now at No. 18 in the world, his lowest position since August 2018. Due to an injury, Tsitsipas withdrew from the semifinals of the Barcelona tournament but has the opportunity to regain lost ground in the upcoming Madrid Open (April 23 – May 4). At the top of the global list, despite being suspended, Jannik Sinner remains at No. 1 and is expected to return to action at the Rome Masters. Behind him at No. 2 is Alexander Zverev, who surpassed Carlos Alcaraz temporarily after winning the title in Monaco. Significant changes were also seen in the Top 10, with Holger Rune, the winner in Barcelona, returning for the first time since last April to the top ten. Conversely, last year’s champion Casper Ruud dropped five positions, landing at No. 15.
