Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas and Spanish player Paula Badosa made a stunning appearance at the annual Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid. Unlike most guests who opted for classic black attire, the duo chose to wear white, capturing everyone’s attention on the red carpet.

Tsitsipas, 26, recently withdrew from a match against Felix Auger-Aliassime in Barcelona due to an issue during the third game. Now, he is racing against time to recover and compete in the Mutua Madrid Open starting on April 23, 2025, at Caja Magica. Meanwhile, Badosa, recovering from her own back injury, seems ready to return to action soon.

The awards ceremony honored top athletes of the year, with Armand Duplantis taking home the prize for Male Athlete of the Year, presented by Novak Djokovic. Simone Biles was named Female Athlete of the Year across all sports categories, while Real Madrid received the Team of the Year award, presented by Rafael Nadal to Luka Modric.
