Stefanos Kasselakis: “Republican movement” or “Republican party” the prevailing names for the new political body

Following rapid developments in and announcement of the establishment of a new party by him, he is currently preparing Saturday (23.11.2024) to announce the name of the new party body. As the fallen president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis, made known the proposals for the name of the new party exceeded 90. Of these were the 15, which were then put to the vote. Information reports that by Friday they had come up with two prevailing names: “Republican party (DI. KO.)’ or ‘Republican movement (DI. KI)’. At 12 noon Stefanos Kasselakis will announce the new party and present the founding declaration of the party at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation. It is noted that – as everything shows outside a shocking unexpected – Stefanos Kasselakis’s new party will join the independent MPs Theodora Jackris, Rallia Christidou, Alexander Avlonitis, Sunday Malama and Yota Pulou. Peter Pappas, who left Syriza first is in England and will not attend the event that will take place at the Cacoyannis Foundation. His absence appears to confirm that between the two men a rupture has occurred. After all, independent MP Peter Pappas is assumed to have turned his eye on PASOK. In fact, Alexander Avlonitis, speaking in Action 24, noted that a parliamentary group will soon emerge, implying that it is either expected that others will leave Syriza, or that independent MPs from other parties will join it. Alexander Avlonitis noted that the name has now been locked.
