Statement ‘bomb’ from Mohammed Salah to Liverpool: “I’m probably leaving to stay”

He revealed that he has not submitted a proposal to renew his contract, opening the exit door to the “reds” and expressing his bitterness. First he scored two decisive goals, for Liverpool’s away win over Southampton (2–3) and then Mohammed Salah dropped the “bomb” for his football future. In statements made following the victory of Premier League pioneers, the Egyptian striker revealed that he has not yet accepted a proposal to renew his contract from Liverpool, while expressing his disappointment at the whole situation. “December has almost entered and I still haven’t received a formal proposal to renew my contract, so it’s probably more likely that I’m leaving after the end of the season,” Mohammed Salah initially said, to continue saying: “I’ve been here all these years. There is no other club like Liverpool. But eventually, whether I stay is not in my hands. As I said, December is almost in and I’m still not approached by anyone about my future. I love Liverpool fans and they love me too. But ultimately, the situation is neither in my hands nor in theirs. Let’s wait and see what happens.” He was then asked if he feels disappointed that he has not yet been formally offered a renewal of his contract by Liverpool, responding: “Sure. I am not going to retire from active action in the next few years, so I will continue to fight, concentrate on this season and in our attempt to conquer the Premier League and the Champions League. I feel a disappointment, but we will see.” Mo Salah says he’s “more out than in” at and is “disappointed” he hasn’t received an extension offer.
