At PPC’s annual general meeting of shareholders, CEO George Stassinos unveiled a new strategic investment plan totaling €24.2 billion for the period 2026–2030. The plan includes a major expansion in renewable energy sources (RES) and a strategic entry into the data center sector—marking PPC’s evolution from Greece’s historic power utility into a broader energy and technology group.

A Broader Energy and Technology Vision

Stassinos positioned the transformation around three key drivers: surging electricity demand, rapid growth in green infrastructure, and rising regional needs for digital infrastructure across Southeastern Europe. Annual investment is set to rise to €4.8 billion over the next five years—up from €3.4 billion annually under the previous plan.

Of the total €24.2 billion, 52% is earmarked for Greece, 21% for Romania, and 27% for other markets where PPC operates or plans to expand.

2025 Financial and Operational Highlights

For fiscal year 2025, PPC reported adjusted EBITDA of €2 billion—a 13% increase year-on-year—and adjusted net profit of €450 million. Shareholders approved a dividend of €0.60 per share, up 50% compared to 2024.

Electricity generation reached 20.9 TWh, with 37% coming from renewables. Installed RES capacity climbed to 7.2 GW—an increase of 1.7 GW within the year—while electricity sales totaled 31.9 TWh. PPC maintained its dominant market position in Greece at 50% and held a 15% share in Romania.

In distribution, the regulated asset base in Greece and Romania rose to €5.7 billion—up €800 million from 2024.

Targets Through 2030

By 2030, PPC aims to reach approximately 19 GW of installed RES and hydroelectric capacity combined. Its financial targets include €4.6 billion in EBITDA, €1.5 billion in net profit, and a dividend of €1.40 per share.

In the data center segment, PPC plans to develop an initial 300 MW facility in Kozani, with potential for future expansion up to 1 GW. The first phase is expected to go live by end-2028. Confidential negotiations are underway with major international data center operators.

The new investment roadmap follows PPC’s recent €4.25 billion capital increase—oversubscribed 4.4 times, with €17.8 billion in total offers received.
