Spectacular Drone Show Celebrates Greek Independence Day in Vary-Glyfada

An unforgettable surprise awaited residents on Monday evening, March 24, 2025, in Vary-Glyfada. To commemorate the national anniversary of Greek Independence Day on March 25th, a unique and mesmerizing drone show was organized. At precisely 8:00 PM, 240 drones took to the skies above the municipal building of Vary, Glyfada, and Vouliagmeni. For nearly ten minutes, they illuminated the night sky with images inspired by the 1821 Greek Revolution, officially kicking off the celebrations for the country’s Independence Day. Hundreds of spectators gathered at the municipal square to witness the event up close, while the spectacle was visible across much of the city, including all three municipal units. The show was breathtaking as the drones formed swords, cannons, uniforms, and more. However, it was the formation of the Greek flag against the night sky that truly stole the show.
