Spartans: Parliament’s Ethics Committee’s recommendation to Parliament suspended funding

A suspension of state funding to the “Spartians” is recommended to the plenary by an overwhelming majority, the House Ethics Committee, in application of the recently adopted provisions of the Interior Ministry providing for the suspension of party funding until an acquittal decision has been reached by Justice, regarding persons alleged to be the actual leaders of parties and have been convicted in accordance with the provisions of 187 and 187A of the B.C. In favour of the suspension of funding parties said to the Ethics Committee and voted down two MPs, namely the representatives of the Spartans and the Victory. The Interior Ministry’s amendment passed by the House, a few days before Christmas, has included a special provision, whereby any electoral funding given to parties, which, for any reason, did not participate in the elections, will be returned.
