Heatwave in Spain: Heat record with 47.4 degrees Celsius in the southern province of Cordoba

The “heatwave” that hits Spain yesterday broke the absolute temperature record in the country with 47.4 degrees Celsius in Montoro, in the province of Cordoba (south), according to the Spanish meteorological service (AEMET).

This temperature, which was recorded yesterday at 17.00 local time, is higher than the previous record, which was recorded on July 13, 2017, in the same area.
