They rammed one with the ship towed to the coast of the northwest. Last May orches sank a sailing yacht in the Straits of Gibraltar. After the herd of vows rammed the sailboat off the coast of northwestern Spain, damage to the rudder was caused to the vessel. The result was to set up a sea operation for its towing on land, it became known by the competent rescue service on Monday (26.08.2024). The incident is the last of a series of vaccinations of vessels from herds of killer whales off the coast of Spain and Portugal. Scientists have not reached a compromise on the reasons for this behavior they have recently demonstrated. One of the two crew members of the sailboat was seriously injured in her hand, during tow manoeuvres, as there was a sea riot in the area and was transported by helicopter to the hospital, according to sea rescue operations service. The boat, called “Amidala”, notified the center of operations on the peninsula of Cape Finistre, on the coast of Galicia, just before 17:00 Greek time on Sunday (25.08.2024). The crew, a man and a woman, of Belgian nationality, both mentioned damage to the ship’s helm after it was inoculated by an unknown number of vows. The adverse weather conditions, with winds of speed at 65 km/h and waves 3 meters high, prevented the tow operation, according to the service and the ship took over 5 hours to reach the port. In May orches sank a sailing yacht after they rammed it on the Moroccan side of the Strait of Gibraltar. Although known as killer whales, the vows, an extinct species, belong to the dolphin family. They are up to 8 metres wide and weighing up to 6 tonnes. RES information – photos: Reuters
