Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’s daughter, Sophia Mitsotakis, has strongly denied a recent report claiming she returned from Dubai to Greece aboard a private jet costing €50,000. In a social media post, she dismissed the story as fake news, calling it an example of baseless misinformation.

“Shamelessness Has No Limits”

“Shamelessness, unfortunately, has no limits,” Mitsotakis wrote — a pointed response to the unverified claim. She clarified that she had indeed returned from Dubai, where she has been working recently, but did so via a scheduled repatriation flight operated by Aegean Airlines — not a private jet.

Aegean Repatriation Flight from Oman

According to her statement, she boarded one of Aegean’s organized repatriation flights departing from Oman — a route used to bring Greek citizens home from the broader Gulf region. She noted this was the fifth such flight from the area, emphasizing it was neither the first nor the second.

Mitsotakis expressed deep frustration at how easily false information spreads online, adding: “I’d like to know who’s behind the spread of such fake news and reproduces inaccurate claims so casually.” She also indicated that, were the website responsible for the report identifiable rather than anonymous, she would have already pursued legal action.
