Since last Thursday (May 15, 2025), the application platform for the Social Tourism program has closed, and beneficiaries are now awaiting the results, expected to be announced within days. This year, the Social Tourism program begins earlier than ever before, starting June 1, 2025, with a budget of 50 million euros covering 300,000 vouchers. The results will soon be published. Each beneficiary receives a unique number allowing them up to six nights at accommodations listed in DYPAS’s provider registry after agreeing with the provider, with minimal personal contribution. Specifically, in Leros, Lesbos, Chios, Kos, Samos, and Rhodes, up to ten free nights can be booked, while in municipalities of Northern Evia, Evros, and Thessaly (excluding Sporades), up to twelve free nights are available. Regarding subsidy amounts: For August and festive periods such as Christmas and Easter, subsidy prices increase by 20%. The increased subsidy applies throughout 2025 for accommodations in disaster-affected areas (Northern Evia, Evros, Thessaly excluding Sporades). The ‘Social Tourism DYPAS 2025’ program also covers ferry tickets with a 25% contribution from beneficiaries. Tickets are free for individuals with disabilities (AMEA). The program includes special allocations for single-parent families and AMEA, along with increased allocation for low-income beneficiaries.
