Sky Express: Five New International Destinations and Fleet Expansion in 2025

Sky Express continues its steady growth trajectory, focusing on expanding its network with new international destinations and strengthening its fleet. As reported yesterday (June 24, 2025) by the company’s Commercial Director, Gerasimos Skaltsas, during a press conference: “Sky is evolving and flying higher.” By further enhancing its presence in the European market, Sky Express is expanding its network for 2025 with five new destinations: Madrid, Lisbon, Hamburg, Berlin, and Lyon. The exact launch dates of the new flights are expected to be announced by late October. This year’s expansion builds on the dynamic growth of 2024, during which seven additional international destinations were added to Sky Express’ network: Istanbul, Amsterdam, Tirana, Tbilisi, Yerevan, Vienna, and Prague. This addition significantly contributed to a 30% increase in international flights compared to 2023. Simultaneously, the airline is reinforcing its fleet with six new aircraft, forming “the youngest and most modern fleet in Greece,” according to Mr. Skaltsas. Two new Airbus A320neo aircraft will be immediately added, with the first arriving next Thursday (June 26, 2025), while another is expected by the end of October 2025. The expansion into strategic European destinations is part of a broader plan to strengthen the company’s international presence. As noted by Mr. Skaltsas, “we are the only airline that has achieved so much in such a short time, and this is no coincidence.” Sky Express has already achieved its key operational goals for 2024, while its financial results remain profitable despite increased challenges in the aviation sector. “We are now a major pillar, and it’s good for everyone to realize that,” remarked the company’s Commercial Director.
