hybrid The fourth generation of Superb Hatch, its flagship, will soon be available with plug-in hybrid version. The second generation hybrid drive plug-in in Superb Hatch iV combines a four-cylinder turbocharged 1.5 TSI petrol engine, yielding 150 hp (110 kW), with a three-phase permanent magnet motor integrated into the gearbox and separated from the internal combustion engine with a clutch. CORVERSE This engine can operate independently to drive the vehicle or operate alongside the gasoline engine. The combined power of the two motors is 204 hp (150 kW), with the power being transmitted to the front wheels through an automatic six-wheel DSG box. The high voltage battery, with a mixed capacity of 25.7 kWh, consists of four units and is located under the rear seats. CORVERSE In function E, only the electric motor provides a maximum power of 85 kW and 330 Nm of torque. It can start the internal combustion engine and replace the traditional alternator. Superb Hatch iV in addition to the typical driving features present in the Superb series (Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual), offers three additional hybrid options : E-mode, Hybrid mode and Sport mode. The plug-in hybrid model can be fully recharged from 0 to 100% in 2.5 hours using a home wallbox or an AC charging point with a maximum charge rate of 11 kW. For faster charging, the battery supports fast charging DC up to 50 kW, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in 26 minutes. In addition, the battery is recharged during driving, continuously, through regenerative braking, which recovers kinetic energy at deceleration. With fully electric autonomy over 120 km, Superb Hatch iV is suitable for daily driving without pollutants and at minimal cost.
