Skoda: Everything changes, from models to stores in Greece

Just before 130 years of history Czech, a member of the VW group since 1991, initially with 30% and then entirely, has now passed into a new era. The company founded by Lauren and Klement, and thus originally named in 1895, having an emblem of the winged arrow, has now opened its wings a lot, and has models of real arrows in the market, however it denies its mark, holding simply and empowering Skoda’s name. The Skoda logo, therefore, meets on the hood of its latest model, electric Elroq expected in Greece in April 2025, at the steering wheel but also at the rear door, and this setting will also be seen in the models that follow. In the 4th place of Europe Skoda’s dynamics are such that while initially joining the German group as a cheap purchase option, it is now not only not the “poor” relative, but it counters to equal, in quality, even the other brands of the group (VW, Audi, Seat). Skoda this year amazes the European market, which may be slightly increased in sales (+0.7%) compared to 2023, but the Czech brand is at +12% in sales in the first 10 months of 2024, compared to the corresponding period of 2023 and shows the market position in 4. In Greece, starting at a lower starting point, it is now 13 or in the market (3% share), having an impressive increase of +41%, in the 10 months of 2024. Large range of electric and conventional models And with the models coming up, the future is bright, because with the newly launched Enyaq electric and Enyaq Coupe, now Elroq, later the little larger Epic, the longest Combi and the largest Space, it will feature an electric quire really difficult to compete with. And of course, by 2030 Skoda will continue to launch models with internal combustion engines, as yes, we are going for full electrification, but due to a lack of promotion measures it will probably be a little late. I note that Greece remains one of the few countries that subsidize the purchase of electric vehicles. The new electric Elroq After Enyaq, which was Skoda’s first fully electric model, also comes Elroq. Today it was presented in Greece, but it is expected to arrive at the sales shops in March 2025. Until then we know it will be available in three editions: 50, 60 and 85 with corresponding battery capacity and will be offered at a starting price of 34,500 euros , without the state subsidy. If the subsidy is valid and after April 2025, then the initial price is reduced to 25,500 euros and if you withdraw an old vehicle, then there is an additional 2,000 euros price reduction, total, i.e. cheaper by 11,000 euros. With each purchase Kosmocar gives gift a wall charger and free placement by a partner. With 4.488 m long, Elroq and 2.765 m. wheelbase, as well as the largest in length Enyaq, gives autonomy from 375 to 581 km, depending on the battery. New image, new stores and City Stores Skoda’s new logo will decorate all existing sales outlets, as their design changes overall. At the same time, 4 very large shops come from 2 in Athens and Thessaloniki, with one of them in L. Mesogeia almost ready, but Kosmocar, Skoda’s introductory company and the VW group in general, is also preparing for smaller stores. The new City Stores will only be launched in large cities and will be small spaces that will accommodate 1 to 3 cars, have a seller, a test driving vehicle and there a customer will be able to shape the model he wants. Overall we will be talking about an absolute digital experience. At the same time, other activities will be hosted in these small shops, with Kosmocar partners.
