Six out of seven arrests made on Tuesday morning (May 13, 2025) have been confirmed in connection to the attack by hooded individuals at the Athens Law School on April 30. According to police, six men were arrested following an investigation by the Anti-Racist and Extremist Violence Unit, confirming their involvement in the assault. Clothing worn during the raid was found in their possession. One woman who was initially detained was released due to lack of evidence implicating her in the case. However, another woman was arrested for allegedly aiding and abetting one of the attackers by driving them away in her car. She was later released as the statute of limitations for the charge against her had expired. Some of those arrested have prior records for similar incidents, and four of the six detainees claim to be students. It is recalled that on the afternoon of April 30, a group of hooded individuals stormed the first floor of the Law School during an event, attacking attendees. A postgraduate student suffered head injuries and was transported to the ‘Red Cross’ hospital for initial treatment.
