A disturbing act of violence has shocked residents of Francisco Beltrão, a city in southern Brazil’s Paraná state. Security footage shows a man walking with two grocery bags when, without warning, he turns and kicks his three-year-old daughter in the face — knocking her to the ground.
The video captures the man holding the bags as two children follow him — a boy and the young girl. Moments later, he abruptly spins around and delivers a forceful kick to the child’s face. The impact sends her sprawling onto the pavement.
Shortly after, an outraged bystander rushes in to intervene. With hands raised, he confronts the father angrily. During the heated exchange, the little girl slowly struggles to her feet. The family then quickly leaves the scene.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. The mother, who viewed the footage, filed a formal complaint against the father. Protective measures have since been requested for both her and the two children.
The motive behind the man’s sudden outburst remains unclear.
