Shocked by the gruesome murder of four young children from their mother in China!

The gruesome murder of four young children, suicide of their mother, and a father who couldn’t handle the tragedy that has shocked China…
and has caused an intense debate around poverty and corruption in the country.
The 28-year-old Chinese woman, after they cut off an allowance with which he was supporting her family, killed at the end of August the three girls, aged from 3 to 6 years, as well as the 5-year-old son of the village Αγκουσάν, in the poor province Γκανσού, as revealed by the police. Yang Γκαϊλάν put at end to her life by drinking a bottle of pesticide. The man, 31-year-old farmer Li Κεγίνγκ, committed suicide and that 15 days later, after having buried the children and his wife.
The local authorities, who have launched investigation on the case, explained that the allowance was, the family was cut from the 2014. According to the chinese media, the family of the Κεγίνγκ was one of the poorest in the village.
The commission of the village had considered, however, that the household income was above the poverty level, i.e., the 2,300 yuan (about 300 euro) per year and per person.
Many chinese media outlets argue that a key role in the tragedy played by the corruption. Relatives of the victims suggested that the allowance was cut off because the family doesn’t bribed some local officials.
The case is at the heart of discussions in social networking sites of China. “We live in a brutal society that eats its children,” writes a slogan that has become βάιραλ on Weibo, the chinese equivalent of Twitter.
This situation “accurately reflects the painful reality of the extent of poverty in China,” wrote the Σιανγκ Σονγκτσούο, the chief economist of the Agricultural Bank of China. “From the corrupt officials who are abusing hundreds of millions at every opportunity, and the rich who spend thousands of every day, contestants who will be able to spend more, in the face of those who live in such poverty that they lose all hope,” he added.
The tragedy shocked the residents of developing cities in the east of the country,” noted the Dang Γκουογίνγκ, an expert of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, speaking to the Global Times newspaper. “Because most of us are not even able to imagine that millions of Chinese are living in such poverty in the province, while the country has become the second economic power on the planet,” he explained.
Yang, Lee and the four children lived together with the grandmother and the father of Yang in a brick house with an earthen floor. Three cows and a dozen chickens were the property, the most valuable goods.
The 28-year-old woman was still alive when she was found by her grandmother, dying and bathed in the blood of small children. “Why don’t you leave me at least the Γιφάν you?” screamed the old woman referred to in the biggest of the girls, that she loved the most and with whom she shared the same bed every night.
Yang was taken to the hospital. I refused the care of the doctors, but she kept saying: “Don’t save”.
China relax the one child policy, but even the decades that the law was applied, in the province there was some tolerance when the family had a second child, especially if the first was a girl. In some forgotten corners, such as in the Αγκουσάν, poor couples, not having the financial means to contraception, acquired a lot of children.
