Hodur Magnuson has completed 14 months off-duty after the crack of chistos he suffered last year in derby with AEK. Now, his defender passed his door again. Hordur Magnuson was re-surged, this time in the menisco, put a splint and will stay minimum three months outside Panathinaikos’ obligations. More specifically, Magnuson was subjected to arthroposcopy in the menisco and tendon bonding to stabilize the knee. The Icelandic defender will have splints in the next few weeks and then start treatments. Hordur Magnuson did not participate in Panathinaikos’ training program in the last 15 days, because during a training he felt instability on his knee. Because of his sensitivity to the issue he had with surgery, he asked for a second opinion from abroad and eventually decided to do the surgery. However, this development does not seem to change anything in Panathinaikos’ post-literative design. The “greens” have on the roster the four central defenders (Gentwei, Ingason, Sencephald and Palmer-Brown) and therefore will not move in January for a player in that position.
