A harsh winter weather scene is expected tomorrow, Monday (07.04.25), characterized by heavy rain, a noticeable drop in temperature, frequent snowfall in mountainous and semi-mountainous areas, and frost. According to the weather forecast from the National Meteorological Service (EMY), clouds will increase intermittently across most of the country with local showers and sporadic thunderstorms in eastern regions. The weather phenomena will be strong in places until morning in eastern Thessaly, the Sporades Islands, and northern Evia, and until noon on islands in the Eastern Aegean. Dense snowfall is predicted in northern mountainous and semi-mountainous areas, particularly during the morning in the mountains of Epirus and Thessaly, and until noon in parts of Macedonia and Thrace at altitudes above 400 meters, locally even in lowland areas of the Evros region. Wind conditions will range from 4 to 6 Beaufort from northern directions, with sea gusts locally up to 7 Beaufort, except for the southern Aegean where southwest winds of 4 to 6 Beaufort will prevail until noon. Temperatures will significantly drop in central and northern regions, reaching 10-14°C, while the rest of the country will see temperatures between 17-19°C and Crete at 20-21°C. Frost is expected in the evening in northern mainland areas.
