Serious Motorcycle Accident in Lamia: Rider Critically Injured

A serious accident involving a motorcycle occurred at around 1:30 PM on Monday (March 24, 2025), on the national road near KarpENisi. According to lamiareport.gr, a young motorcyclist from Lianokladi collided with the rear of a preceding vehicle at the end of a bridge near the river leading to KarpENisi. The impact was severe, causing the rider to sustain critical injuries. Reports indicate that an agricultural vehicle and a car were traveling ahead of the motorcycle. At the end of the bridge, the agricultural vehicle slowed down to turn right into nearby businesses, prompting the following car to also reduce speed. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist could not react in time, resulting in a violent collision. Emergency services swiftly arrived on the scene, transporting the injured rider to Lamia Hospital. A temporary traffic jam formed as vehicles were removed from the area. The Traffic Department of Lamia is investigating the causes of this serious accident.
